Jodi Buchan is freelance writer from Fargo (yes, like the movie) who lived in Colorado for twenty plus years and has recently moved back to the Midwest
(Minnesota, yes, as in Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox).
She has published magazine and newspaper articles focused on topics such as advocacy, children with disabilities, profiles, and regional interest
subjects, in addition to poems and commentary. The Writer's Digest has twice awarded Jodi Honorable Mention; once in the Personal Essay category and
once in the Mainstream/Literary Short Fiction category. She has also received a similar recognition from the Pen Women Nob Hill Soul Making Competition
for Flash Fiction.
When she's not swatting away mosquitoes, Jodi is finishing up WHEN THE WIND BLOWS COLD (novel), NORMAL: A MYTHICAL MEMOIR, and
NORTHLAND: NO WINGS FOR THE WICKED (screenplay). And even though she is not living in Steamboat anymore, every Thursday at the strike of noon
Mountain Time, she's there in spirit, transported to the past, future and present by the other writer's of the group.
